BRE Trust Publish Fire Safety Guide For Hotels

The BRE Trust has published a guide to fire safety management of hotels to help hotel managers and staff protect themselves and their businesses.

The BRE Trust guide introduces fire safety and the law, explains how fires start and spread and how they can be prevented. It also explains the basics of how to build a fire safety culture and how to carry out fire risk assessments. It provides a basic understanding of hotel fire safety features, including a fire safety checklist.

The guide is designed to complement the ODPM's forthcoming detailed guidance which is expected to be published later in the year.
