Meridian Systems, the Plan-Build-Operate technology solutions leader for project-based organizations, announced today that the Parkland Health & Hospital System (Parkland) in Dallas, Texas, has selected Prolog® software to standardize construction management processes for its US$1.270 billion building program.
Parkland is working directly with Project 3 Technologies, a Meridian Systems Value Added Reseller (VAR) in Texas.
As a Dallas county hospital that reports both to a Board of Managers and the public, Parkland chose to purchase Prolog This enables Parkland to standardize on one construction project management system of record to increase visibility, transparency and control of all construction activities. Since Parkland had been using Prolog for more than 10 years in different capacities and on various sized projects, the hospital decided to standardize across their entire organization because facilities staff already had experience and a high comfort level with Prolog software.
Parkland and the dozens of Architectural/Engineering/Construction (AEC) firms associated with its expansion program will be using Prolog for cost management and document control, along with other collaborative program features. Prolog software delivers total project management control for construction projects by automating day-to-day tasks and processes, from project design to close-out.
“With the high levels of transparency required on publicly-funded projects, standardizing on Prolog and owning the project data was a very forward thinking decision by the Parkland facilities team,” said Trent Hogan, president, Project 3 Technologies. “With the high visibility this program has in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, their decision to standardize on Prolog will give them the ability to report to both the Board and the community on every public dollar spent.”
