After extensive study and development of a strong business case, PCL has embraced Textura for all construction project invoicing, compliance monitoring and payments.
Textura Corporation is pleased to announce that PCL has become a client in both the United States and Canada. US rollout began last month and Canadian implementation begins this month.
PCL will use Textura to automate subcontractor invoicing, collection of lien waivers in the US and automated tracking of compliance documents and electronic payments. PCL expects that the use of Textura will deliver significant efficiencies throughout their accounting and project management organizations.
Glen Anderson, PCL VP Finance and Administration for Canadian Operations, said "The current financial environment means we have to be as efficient as possible for our clients. We saw firsthand through a pilot project how Textura streamlined the entire payment application process. We also saw the positive subcontractor experience. This real life field experience combined with a very strong business case made the decision to use Textura very easy."
Interfaces between Textura and PCL's accounting system establish financial integrity while eliminating data entry. Brian Ranger, PCL General Manager for Systems and Technology, said "Textura closely collaborated with us to ensure that their interfaces worked correctly in our systems environment. They ensured thorough testing with our methodology before user sign-off and deployment. This gave us a great deal of confidence that everything would work correctly from the moment of 'go-live'."
Patrick Allin, Textura CEO, says "PCL represents an important milestone for our organization. PCL is the largest Canadian GC and a top 10 GC in the US. They followed a rigorous process to investigate and assess Textura's application and fit with their organization. This ensured extensive buy-in throughout their organization for the implementation launch. We especially appreciate how they have teamed with us to define the functionality needed for the Canadian marketplace."
Bruce Lowell, PCL Director of Finance and Administration for US, added "This has been a quick and seemingly effortless software implementation. Textura was ready to go when we were and worked on site with each project office for training and project start-up. Project teams have been very enthusiastic and look forward to dramatic new efficiencies in the review and processing of payment applications."
