City Park Welcomes Dell

Dell, the world’s leading computer systems company, has announced City Park, Glasgow as the selected location for its UK operations’ expansion into Scotland . Initially creating up to 400 jobs in Glasgow by 2006, the new Scottish base will support increased demand for its products and services from medium and large businesses and public sector organisations in the UK.

Paul Bell, President, Dell EMEA, said, “The growth and expansion of Dell’s UK operation, our second largest business outside the US, into Scotland, is testament to our commitment to continue to deliver to our UK business customers great products and services and a positive customer experience. “The opening of the new Glasgow operation will allow for our future growth in the UK , by providing additional sales and customer services capacity to complement our existing and successful sites,” said, Bell . “Dell puts high value on our customer sales and support and believe Glasgow is the right choice in delivering this promise. We look forward to the Glasgow centre playing a major role in the further expansion of the company.” Celebrating the announcement, Ken Campbell, Director of City Park Glasgow and the developer Elphinstone Group said, “I am delighted to welcome Dell. City Park is a vibrant and thriving office development that contributes to the local economy by attracting top quality occupiers and the associated jobs. Dell locating to City Park endorses the vision that was behind our acquisition of the building. “This is a superb achievement and one that everyone can be proud of. This letting demonstrates how Glasgow remains a competitive option for companies who require a high standard of accommodation backed by excellent transport links, a skilled and flexible workforce and good lifestyle facilities.”
