Vivint Solar Opens Three New Locations in Massachusetts

Vivint Solar, a leading full-service residential solar provider, today announced its growing presence in Massachusetts with its expansion into the Taunton, Marlborough and Holyoke areas. Vivint Solar has installed more residential PV systems in Massachusetts than any other company, according to Greentech Media Research's Q3 2013 Leaderboard.

The company plans to hire up to 240 employees in the new locations to continue providing its affordable, guaranteed price solar solutions to homeowners.

"We are excited to bring our simple, affordable solar offering to more Bay State residents who are looking to save money on their power bills by using their roofs for more than just shingles," said Chance Allred, vice president of sales at Vivint Solar. "We'll continue our commitment to growing the Massachusetts market, as rooftop solar continues to gain acceptance as a preferred energy choice of budget-savvy homeowners."

Vivint Solar's new territory expansion coincides with Solar Energy Industries Association's Solar Market Insight Year in Review 2013, which showed photovoltaic installations continued to grow, increasing 41 percent nationally from 2012. As the second largest residential solar installer in the United States, Vivint Solar continues to grow in Massachusetts.

"The process so far with Vivint Solar has been great," said Karen Lococo, a Vivint Solar customer and resident of Chalmshead, Massachusetts. "The people we have worked with have been excellent and the fact that we didn't have to pay anything up front was a big plus. The realization that it was going to save us money on our utility bill was excellent for us."
