Vivint Smart Home, the leading smart home services provider in North America, today announced that its comprehensive smart home system now works seamlessly with Philips Hue. Vivint customers can easily integrate the connected lighting system from Philips Lighting (Euronext: LIGHT), the world leader in lighting, to enhance the smart home experience.
Customers can manage their Philips Hue products from their Vivint Smart Home SkyControl™ panel or Vivint Smart Home mobile app. They can create custom lighting schedules for rooms, floors or their entire home, including having the Philips Hue lights on to imitate home occupancy while away.
In the Vivint Smart Home mobile app, customers can also create rules to control multiple aspects of their smart home at once. They can conveniently turn off their Philips Hue lights, arm their home security system and lower the thermostat when they lock their doors and leave home.
Customers can control their Philips Hue lighting with their voice by commanding their Amazon Alexa or Google Home devices, as well.
“At Vivint Smart Home, we’re committed to making it easy for our customers to create the smart home they want,” said Jeremy Warren, chief technology officer at Vivint Smart Home. “We’re excited to add the Philips Hue connected lighting system to the Vivint experience, and provide our customers with more ways to make their homes safer and easier to manage.”
“We strive to make our customers’ lives easier and their homes comfortable with connected lighting,” said Roger Karner, Market Leader US at Philips Lighting. “We welcome Vivint to our growing Friends of Hue partner program, to help deliver on this promise. By bringing Philips Hue and the Vivint smart home system together, customers can have a simple, seamless, connected lighting experience.”
Customers can purchase a Vivint smart home system and Philips Hue connected lighting at one of more than 400 Best Buy locations nationwide.
