Textura Corporation, the leading provider of collaboration solutions for the construction industry, announced today that Greengrade®, the company's LEED® management software, is able to support projects that are seeking LEED certification under LEED v4, the newest version of the green building program to be released by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
Launched in November 2013 at Greenbuild, USGBC says this version of its green building program ramps up global adoption of sustainable building and development practices by creating universally understood and accepted tools and performance criteria. Some of the changes to this version include new market sectors, a greater focus on building performance outcomes, and simplified credit submittal requirements.
As a cloud-based software solution, Greengrade provides all the tools needed to successfully complete and track LEED project information, coordinate LEED project teams, and submit final projects to LEED Online, all from one centralized location. With Greengrade's integration of v4, project teams can take advantage of time-saving tools including task management and collaborative calculators. In addition, users can upload v4 files directly from Greengrade to LEED Online.
Greengrade supports the following rating systems for LEED v4:
- BD+C: New Construction
- BD+C: Healthcare
- BD+C: Schools
- BD+C: Core & Shell
- ID+C: Commercial Interiors
- O+M: Existing Buildings
Additional LEED v4 rating systems will be added over the next few months. Past versions of LEED rating systems are still supported within Greengrade, including v2.2 and LEED 2009.
"LEED v4 is a big change for the USGBC's green building program," said Patrick Allin, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Textura Corporation. "Greengrade is prepared to support LEED project teams as they apply LEED v4 to their future sustainable building projects."
