Winter Park Construction (WPC), one of the nation's most respected general contractors and leading construction companies has announced that January will mark the company's 40th anniversary of it's founding.
Forty years ago in a small apartment in Winter Park, Florida, Tracy Forrest (Chief Executive Officer), founded Winter Park Construction with projects consisting primarily of residential renovations, framing and carpentry. Commitment to excellence and quality quickly earned him a respectable reputation and within a few short years the portfolio of projects expanded to commercial buildings, multifamily complexes and hotel renovations.
In 2007, Tracy sold a large percentage of the company to his younger brother, Jeff Forrest. As WPC's President, Jeff has worked at the firm for over 35 years and has been running the daily operations since 2000. Additionally, he selected two other long-time WPC employees - Kevin Corrado, Chief Operating Officer, and Chuck Reynolds, Vice President - to be his partners and sold a portion of the company to them. Today, these four remain the managing partners of WPC, a multifaceted team of construction experts whose combined experience totals more than 150 years. These leaders, along with a staff of more than 100 employees, unite construction fundamentals with some of the industry's best pre-construction and estimating services.
Throughout their 40-year history, Winter Park Construction has followed the common sense credo of "always doing the right thing," ultimately leading to a high client satisfaction rate and 80% of their work coming from repeat business. WPC's construction expertise now spans a multitude of market sectors and their projects are found throughout the United States, however their "do the right thing, every time" commitment is stronger than ever.
