Stark Enterprises, the developer/property manager of Crocker Park property development located in Westlake, Ohio, has unveiled plans to add another 1.2 million sq. ft to the building thus making its total occupancy area to 2.6 million sq. ft. The building is anticipated to get completed by 2014.
Crocker Park, originally built in 2004 is a mixed-use type of town center with a total area of around 1.4 million sq. ft, which includes a retail space of 800,000 square foot, office space measuring 100,000 sq. ft. and its residential accommodations occupy an area of 500,000 sq. ft. While its 216-unit residential complex is occupied fully, its leased retail and office are occupied 99% and 98% respectively.
The final and the third phase of the expansion project planned with an investment of over $100 million will increase the retail space availability at Crocker Park by 250,000 sq. ft including the space for a hotel. The new construction, which is fixed to commence during the latter part of this year will include the groundbreaking ceremony for 700,000 sq. ft world headquarters of the company, American Greetings.
The new construction will add around 1,213,000 sq. ft. thus making the total construction area as 2.6 million square feet. The new construction will include the required level of civic amenities and parking facilities in line with the increased level of traffic and visitors anticipated.
