Ronald H. Bowman, Jr., Executive Vice President of Tishman Technologies Corporation part of AECOM Technology Corp., a Fortune 500 provider of professional technical and management support services for government and commercial clients around the world, will speak about the benefits and risks involved in retrofitting buildings with alternative energy solutions at the 2010 World Green Energy Symposium at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, October 21 thru 23.
“Before retrofitting with alternative energy sources, owners must weigh technological, economic, and corporate governance risks,” says Mr. Bowman. “Owners need assistance in order to 1) choose the right technology, whether it’s geothermal and evaporative cooling, combined-cycle power plants, or photovoltaic supplemental energy sources; 2) determine whether it’s economically more cost effective to go with co-gen or fuel cell, turbines or continuous duty generators; and 3) manage stakeholders’ expectations for sustainable corporate policies. All these factors must be analyzed and managed while not adversely impacting building operations.”
Mr. Bowman is the author of two books: The Green Guide to Power: Thinking Outside the Grid (#1 on Amazon’s energy list for weeks), and Business Continuity Planning for Data Centers and Systems. He’s an expert in helping companies protect their businesses’ continuity of operations and assets by reducing their dependence on the national power grid through the use of alternative energy and/or the installation of co-gen facilities. He is also an expert on the greening of data centers.
The registration list of the 2010 World Green Energy Symposium includes leaders from government, business and the new and green energy industry. Top experts from government will speak on the billions of dollars in initiatives in the new and green energy fields to an audience comprised of buyers and decision-makers from the private sector and government. Attendees will hear the latest case studies and news of upcoming projects, contracts, innovations, products, solutions and services to buy, invest in, implement and procure.
