Meridian Systems, the Plan-Build-Operate technology solutions leader for project-based organizations, announced today that Condotte America has selected the Prolog® solution to standardize construction management processes for its day-to-day construction activities. Condotte is working directly with Intuitive Systems, an authorized Meridian Systems Global Reseller serving Florida and Latin America.
Condotte, a heavy and highway contractor specializing in bridge work, roadways, mass transit and toll plazas, initially began using ProjectTalk, the on-demand version of Prolog software offered in a hosted environment. ProjectTalk allowed Condotte to better track change labor and materials, management issues, contract invoices, owner requisitions, e-mail correspondence and RFIs.
Condotte is now moving to implement the entire Prolog solution on premise. This decision was made after its recent success in standardizing on one centralized system of record, combined with the recent launch of Prolog Converge. Condotte plans to use Prolog Converge, a Web services platform for Prolog, to enable project teams to collaborate more efficiently and provide flexible access to critical project data.
“We are standardizing on Prolog because it has more flexibility than any other system we evaluated, and should allow our organization to achieve greater efficiencies,” said Andres G. Mendoza, P.E., vice president, Condotte. “Intuitive is providing valuable technical services by implementing the interface customization we need, including additional user-defined fields, custom tabs, reports and more. We are also looking forward to utilizing Prolog Converge to improve project team collaboration over the Web.”
“We are working closely with Condotte to provide flexible access to Prolog, including creating an Excel-based form that makes it easy for users to input their project data,” said Alessandro Chiarini, principal, Intuitive Systems Corporation. “Prolog Converge makes it easy for Condotte to streamline internal project operations and centrally manage data, while also improving collaboration across all project team roles.”
