The new look and feel of the Richmond American Homes website introduces the latest technology in interactive floor plans giving home buyers a dynamic multimedia experience.
MediaLab 3D Studio, an interactive marketing agency for the residential building industry, worked with Richmond American to develop their exciting new online experience.
The website re-launch, which includes more than 700 interactive floor plans and 2,000 elevations for various communities across the country, allows customers to instantly see the extent of their interior or exterior options and envision how structural changes such as additional bedrooms or bonus rooms will look.
"One of the immediate benefits to the home builder is a greater amount of time spent by the customer viewing their floor plans," says Michael Lozicki, president of MediaLab 3D Studio. "On average we see home buyers spend twice as much time on interactive floor plans than traditional static artwork. And with the added touch of suggested furniture layouts, I think we will see this number increase even further."
These interactive floor plan features also include Square footage calculations, base pricing, suggested furniture layouts, room dimensions on and off, and reverse the plan. When the home buyer is ready, they can print a customized brochure including optional elevations, a map with driving directions, standard features and additional upgrades.
"This was a collaborative effort to design an easy to use tool that fit with the design of the web site and improved the home buyer's experience. Structural options can be confusing and this tool makes it easy for the homebuyer to understand how options work with the standard plan," Zane DeHerrera, Chief Marketing Officer for Richmond American Homes.
