NCC to Build Significant Central Station Phase of West Link Project

The Swedish Transport Administration has commissioned NCC to construct the significant central station phase of the West Link project. The assignment comprises an underground commuter train station and about 2 kilometers of railway tunneling. The Transport Administration has budgeted some SEK 3 billion for the phase in question.

Skanska Signs Contract with National Grid to Build Tunnel Underneath Humber River

Skanska has, as a part of a joint venture, signed a contract with National Grid to design and construct a tunnel underneath the river Humber on the east coast of Northern England for the Humber Tunnel project. The contract value for Skanska is GBP 40M, about SEK 480M, which will be included in the order bookings for Skanska UK in the second quarter 2016.

NCC to Build New Interchange on E4 Expressway at Häggvik, North of Stockholm

NCC has been commissioned for the project design and construction of a new interchange on the E4 Expressway at Häggvik, north of Stockholm. The new interchange will be part of the Stockholm Bypass Link and the assignment includes concrete tunnels, bridges and connecting roads to the E4, the Norrortsleden Link and the road network in the area. The order is worth SEK 740 million.

SJV Homes to Construct 144 Single-Family Homes in Visalia, California

Local homebuilder San Joaquin Valley Homes (SJV Homes) announced it has purchased 37 acres of raw land on Jensen Street between St. John's Parkway and Houston Avenue in Visalia and plans to build 144 single-family homes. Grading will begin in June, and a grand opening at the new neighborhood, called Pine River Estates, is scheduled for October 2016.
