With a tradition of quality beginning in 1987 in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, The Original Log Cabin Homes now houses its own fully operational milling and manufacturing facility plus a Corporate Models Sales Center in Battleboro, North Carolina.

The receipt of the 2010 Cabin of the Year Award is indicative of the unequaled quality and craftsmanship present in the construction of each Original Log Cabin home.  As the recipient of this prestigious award, the Original Log Cabin Homes will design and craft a four bedroom, two-and-a-half bath cabin fully equipped with a kitchen, laundry room, living room with a fireplace, garage with a workshop and extra storage space, and a deck. Field & Stream and Outdoor Life readers, as well as fans of the Original Log Cabin Homes, can witness the entire building process from start to finish through a micro-site that will narrate the process through photos, videos, and blog posts from the builders.  The Original Log Cabin Homes design will be showcased in Field & Stream magazine throughout the building process.

Stephen Brumfield, National Sales Director for the Original Log Cabin Homes stated of the award, "We are proud of our commitment to our customers by providing the best quality and service in the log home industry.  It is this commitment that sets our company apart as exemplified in the selection for Cabin of the Year."

"North Carolina's Eastern Region has always been deeply pleased that one of the greatest log home builders in the world operates their successful operation right here in our midst. We cannot express our pride that one of our own industries, The Original Log Cabin Homes, has been rewarded for their unrivaled craftsmanship and design through the receipt of Cabin of the Year," stated North Carolina's Eastern Region President and CEO, John D. Chaffee.
