EMCOR Group, Inc. (NYSE: EME), a Fortune 500® leader in mechanical and electrical construction, energy infrastructure and facilities services for a diverse range of businesses, announced that its University Mechanical & Engineering Contractors, Inc. subsidiary has been awarded a contract for the installation of mechanical systems at Caris Life Sciences, a division of Caris Life Sciences, Inc., in Phoenix, Arizona.
University Mechanical & Engineering Contractors (UMEC) will be responsible for installation of the mechanical systems at Caris Life Sciences’ build-out in Phoenix of 30,000 square feet including a lab, lab support area, and office space area, as well as a 5,000 square feet mechanical mezzanine. UMEC will also be responsible for the installation of a central plant and service yard, which includes a chiller, cooling tower, and exhaust systems with energy recovery, at the facility. Additionally, UMEC will coordinate the electrical and plumbing work required for the project.
Caris Life Sciences is a leading provider of high quality diagnostic and pharmaceutical services encompassing anatomic pathology and molecular testing. The company offers advanced molecular analyses of patient samples through prognostic testing services and genomic and proteomic profiling to provide critical information to physicians treating cancer and other complex diseases. More than 2,000 physicians across the U.S. use the services provided by Caris Life Sciences.
