LIGHTFAIR International (LFI), the world’s largest annual architectural and commercial lighting trade show and conference, is showing its strength as the 2010 show in Las Vegas approaches. At a time when others are downsizing and taking a step back, LFI continues to demonstrate signs of growth in both its trade show floor and conference.
With a trade show floor busting at the seams, LFI is poised to present more than 475 exhibitors and welcome an expected 19,000 attendees from around the world. Furthermore, the LFI conference will feature 72 unique courses and seven (7) diverse seminar tracks, totaling more than 220 accredited hours.
Set for May 10-14, 2010, the LFI trade show and conference will showcase several new offerings for attendees and exhibitors, including:
- 50 first-time, new to LFI, exhibitors;
- 100 companies headquartered outside of the U.S.;
- The expansion of the renamed Global Light + Design Pavilion (formerly the European Light + Design Pavilion);
- The debut of the Building Integration Pavilion, supported by the launch of an educational track addressing this pertinent industry topic;
- The new Design Symposium within the conference program offering design-related courses from affiliated industry professionals;
- 72 educational courses with fresh topics, relevant tracks and several new presenters, in addition to the veterans which will be back by popular demand;
- Expanded networking events and opportunities.
Additionally, LFI will continue with the renowned LFI Innovation Awards, taking place on the opening day of the trade show, May 12. The awards ceremony will highlight and celebrate the industry’s most innovative products and designs being introduced at LIGHTFAIR.
With its established programming and offerings, in addition to the dynamic 2010 initiatives, LFI is on track for another successful show. The Daylighting Institute and the LIGHTFAIR Institute take place Monday, May 10 - Tuesday, May 11, 2010 and the Conference seminars and symposia occur Wednesday, May 12 - Friday, May 14, in conjunction with the trade show days.
