AECOM Technology Corporation (NYSE: ACM), a leading provider of professional technical and management support services for government and commercial clients around the world, announced today that it has won two projects that will help provide wastewater facilities in the emirate from the Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services Company (ADSSC).
For the first project, the company will provide the design and construction supervision of sewerage connections and related works for isolated properties in Abu Dhabi. The second project is Phase 2 of the design and construction supervision of wastewater relocation works as part of roads and utility plans in Abu Dhabi. The two projects are currently underway.
“These project wins build upon our existing, successful working relationship with ADSSC and are a testament to their confidence in AECOM,” said John M. Dionisio, AECOM president and chief executive officer. “We are proud to assist ADSSC in providing our expertise to this important project.”
The projects are part of ADSSC’s US$6.5-billion investment program over the next five years, which will prepare Abu Dhabi to meet the emirate’s 2030 vision with a state-of-the-art wastewater infrastructure.
“ADSSC has a very large program of work requiring expertise from around the globe,” said ADSSC Managing Director Alan Thomson. “Our relationship with AECOM is an important element of program delivery, and we are pleased to continue it following the award of these contracts.”
AECOM is also undertaking design and supervision of wastewater systems for future land developments in the area.
