McGraw-Hill Construction's ENR Recognized by Neal Awards

McGraw-Hill Construction's Architectural Record, Engineering News-Record (ENR), and GreenSource today received seven Jesse H. Neal Business Journalism Awards from American Business Media at its annual awards luncheon in New York City.

Called "the Pulitzer Prize of business journalism," the prestigious Jesse H. Neal Awards recognize editorial excellence in business-to-business publications. Of all publishers, McGraw-Hill was a finalist in the most categories this year, and received eight of the possible 13 awards for which it was nominated between McGraw-Hill Construction and AVIATION WEEK, also part of The McGraw-Hill Companies.

Architectural Record received three Neal Awards for "Best Integrated Package" for "The Recession Report" coverage, "Best Use of Video" for "Record TV," and "Best Use of Social Media" for its "Photo Showcases & Reader Feedback." ENR received three Neal Awards for "Best Profile" for its "Award of Excellence: Bernard Amadei" article, "Best News Coverage" for its "Economic Stimulus" coverage, and "Best Technical Content" for its "Saving the Deltas" article. GreenSource received a Neal Award for "Best Single Issue" for its March/April 2009 issue.

McGraw-Hill Construction was also a Neal Award finalist for "Best Subject-Related Series of Articles" for Architectural Record's "Record Reveals: San Francisco" series; "Best Blog" for ENR's "The Energy Bar;" and "Best Integrated Package" for GreenSource's "GreenBuild Phoenix" coverage. In addition, ENR was named one of four Grand Neal finalists, selected from today's winners, for its "Economic Stimulus" coverage.

Architectural Record and ArchitecturalRecord.com connect architects and design professionals to a wealth of projects, products and people with complete coverage of great architecture around the globe and a highly interactive website. It has won more than 20 awards in the past five years, including three 2009 Neal Awards for "Best Single Issue," "Best Website," and "Best Online Series."
