Jacobs to Design New Custody Suite and Divisional Headquarters for Humberside Police

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it was selected by Humberside Police to serve as Design Partner for the development of a new Centralized Custody Suite and Divisional Headquarters building in the City of Kingston upon Hull.

Jacobs did not disclose the terms of the transaction.

The new, state of the art facility will replace existing premises. The move represents a significant step forward in the modernization of the Force's operational estate and ability to deliver on its pledge to the public to increase satisfaction and confidence amongst its communities.

Police Authority Chair Alene Branton, MBE said, "The Clough Road development will be the Police Authority's biggest investment to date, and is necessary to replace out-dated operational accommodation.  Benefits from the scheme will cascade throughout the Force."

Jacobs will undertake the design of the new building and oversee construction, expected to commence early in 2011. The new facility should become operational in February 2013.

Jacobs Group Vice President Allyn Taylor said, "We are delighted to have been appointed by Humberside Police and Humberside Police Authority as Design Partner for this important development for the city and the Force.  We are very much looking forward to working with the Force project team to help deliver a high quality, sustainable building."
