Citect, the world’s largest independent automation software provider, is pleased to announce the launch of CitectFacilities V6.
The first major release of CitectFacilities in three years is packed with new features including an integrated time and condition based Scheduler; zero maintenance Web Client, XP-style displays with facilities specific graphics and the option for mobile Pocket technology. Based on the latest CitectSCADA technology, CitectFacilities V6 also encompasses the unique “Process Analyst” – an innovative visualization tool that combines historical alarm and trend data in one integrated display. This makes it easier for Facilities Managers to analyze and rectify system faults in less time with minimum disruption.
“We are really excited that Process Analyst is available as standard in the new release of CitectFacilities. This powerful analysis tool enables optimal control of our application, reduces unnecessary energy consumption as well as identifying system interruptions,” says Vladimir Leisky, IT & Automation Project Leader, MedicHus.
MedicHus, an ISO9001 certified facilities management company based in Gothenburg, Sweden, is responsible for maintaining around 400 council-owned retirement and special needs facilities in the Gothenburg area and is a long-term user of Citect products. CitectFacilities V6 also now enables enhanced decision-making via remote monitoring, courtesy of a new Web Client.
The Client allows any authorized user full, secure access to their CitectFacilities system via Internet Explorer from any PC. Using this zero maintenance, fully functional Web Client can result in significant savings on the operation and maintenance of a facility system as there is no longer a need to have dedicated System Operators or control rooms for each facility location.
Maximum mobility to remotely monitor facilities’ systems, even when traveling, can be achieved with Citect’s Pocket solution. CitectSCADA Pocket provides Facilities Managers with a flexible, easy-to-use operator interface with full access to system alarms and variable tags. Pocket allows users to make informed decisions and prioritize actions required wherever they are.
