Dexter + Chaney and Business Network Consulting (BNC) have formed a strategic alliance in which BNC will market Dexter + Chaney’s Spectrum® Construction Software to construction companies in North Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma. BNC will be the local Spectrum/Dexter + Chaney sales representative for heavy/highway, electrical, general/commercial, utility, mechanical/hvac/plumbing, telecommunications and materials handling contractors in that region.
Founded in 1997, BNC provides 24x7 on-site, project-based assistance as well as fully outsourced information technology (IT) support to 650 business customers totaling more than 10,000 computer systems. BNC specializes in helping construction companies utilize technology to become more efficient and profitable. BNC employs industry-specific software and computer solutions — including construction management and estimating software — to integrate systems and streamline business processes.
Spectrum encompasses 28 integrated modules that handle project management, construction accounting, equipment management, human resources, document imaging, service management, remote connectivity and data sharing tasks. Dexter + Chaney recently launched Spectrum™ Equipment Service System, which electronically collects asset-management data for a construction company’s heavy equipment, including equipment hours, fuel usage and maintenance.
“The combination of Spectrum and our IT services gives us a dynamic package that we can offer to existing and potential clients,” Joe Kelly, BNC president, said of the alliance. “We’re very excited to enter this partnership with Dexter + Chaney, to complement our all-encompassing IT services with their top-of-the-line construction software.”
“We’re extremely happy to form this business partnership with BNC, because of their unparalleled combination of experience and knowledge in both IT and the construction industry,” said John Chaney, Dexter + Chaney president. “Construction companies in North Texas and Oklahoma have turned to BNC for years for IT support and consulting, either for their entire network, or perhaps projects, such as VMware implementations. By adding Spectrum to their capabilities, BNC now offers a terrific ‘one-two punch’ to help construction companies manage their businesses.”
