The versatile KGS 305 is ideal for crosscutting material up to 12 ½” wide and 4 ¾” high. The KGS 305 features Metabo’s industry-unique dust collection system, which efficiently removes dust through the base of the saw.
It is the first tool of its kind to indicate roof pitch angles on the miter scale for quick, precise cuts and to allow users to set their own miter detent for repetitive cuts where there is no existing stop. The KGS 305 is easy to use. The bevel angle can be adjusted quickly and easily with the flip of a lever. The integrated saw blade lock and tool make changing the saw blade simple. The flip stop depth function guarantees a constant cutting depth on every cut at any angle setting, while the multi-positioning clamp allows users to secure work pieces both horizontally and vertically. The KGS 305 12” miter saw is also designed for safety, with wide footprints for stable work surfaces and a lock-out feature incorporated into the switches.
Cords run through the rail to stay safely away from the blade. The cutting depth is 4 ¾” at 90? and 3 ¼” at 45?; cutting width is 12 ½” at 90? and 9 ¼” at 45?. The powerful 15-amp, 2000-watt motor achieves a no-load speed of 3800 rpm. Integrated table extensions expand the table up to 41”. The KGS 305 is part of Metabo’s first-ever line of benchtop woodworking tools, which includes three miter saws, a table saw and a planer.
All five products were designed for Metabo by Elektra-Beckum (part of the Metabo Group since 1999) and feature innovative designs and Elektra-Beckum’s signature electric blue color.
