FLOROCK is proud to introduce their new Hybrid Flooring Solutions – an innovative, value-driven approach to custom-engineered industrial flooring.
Traditionally, facilities within a given industry would have the same standard flooring systems installed. After meeting customers’ basic need for functionality, manufacturers did not propose many options or enhancements.
“It’s simply been the mindset in the industrial flooring world,” explains David Schmetterer, President of Crawford Labs. “Who said plant floors don’t deserve ‘added value’?”
For example, many manufacturing plants, as well as food processing facilities, would traditionally install urethane mortar flooring to cope with their harsh environments. However this material is, by nature, limited to a muted color palette and low reflectivity, offering few design alternatives. “Our industry was not offering the best bang-for-the-buck,” says Schmetterer.
Under the new Hybrid concept, a FLOROCK Representative would assess the facility then work with the engineering team to custom-design clients’ floors to not only meet, but surpass, client expectations.
The result: floors that utilize FLOROCK’s strengths in non-traditional, custom constructions.
This might mean a FloroCrete SL urethane mortar basecoat, an intermediate layer of brightly colored FloroChip elements (perhaps even mimicking company colors!) and a clear, chemical resistant and highly light-reflective FloroSpartic polyaspartic topcoat.
In other words, the unique Hybrid Floor would not only address the facility’s environment, as did standard floors of the past, but would also help reduce lighting costs and improve the general work setting, thanks to added color and reflectivity. All products would be solvent-free, low odor, USDA-compliant, and, as a special bonus, the quick-curing FloroSpartic topcoat would enable the facility to resume production hours ahead of schedule.
“Now our customers get more with every FLOROCK floor,” says Schmetterer, “That’s exceptional value!”
