Cemtrex Inc. (OTC: CTEI) announced today the release of the IR-09 multi-gas infrared analyzer for Greenhouse Gas monitoring and reporting.
The launch of this product comes right in line with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) new regulation known as the Final Rule that is making it mandatory for Greenhouse Gases to be monitored from all large emission sources.
Up to 85-90% of total national U.S. GHG emissions, from approximately 13,000 facilities, would be covered by the proposed rule. The rule applies to all electricity generation plants, transportation, industrial metals, minerals, chemicals, oil and gas, landfills, wastewater treatment, ethanol, food processing, agriculture, refineries, coal miners, gas suppliers, gas processors, importers, industrial gases and natural gas distribution companies. Affected entities are now required to monitor and report their emissions to the EPA. Data collection would begin January 1, 2010 with first reports submitted to the EPA March 31, 2011.
"The Final Rule would require reporting of all Greenhouse Gases as defined in the rule. The IR-09 is specifically designed to make compliance with the Final Rule as easy and maintenance-free as possible. Its scalability and rugged design make it ideal for all types of Greenhouse Gas emitting facilities and is EPA approved to provide data as required by the mandate. With this new offering, Cemtrex is once again showing its commitment to providing solutions to this very dynamic market. Cemtrex's decades of leadership in environment monitoring and control in a wide range of industries worldwide to control So2, NOx, mercury, toxic and acid gases have enabled us to help all sectors of the industry to comply and meet environmental obligations and regulations," said Ravi Narayan, Vice President of Cemtrex's MIP Division.
