Four Bachelor Enlisted Quarters to be Constructed

Project Represents Second Recent Award for Turner at Camp Pendleton

Turner Construction Company, the nation's leading general builder, in a joint venture with TB Penick & Sons, Inc., has been awarded a $109 million design-build contract by the United States Marine Corps to construct four Bachelor Enlisted Quarters (BEQ) at Camp Pendleton, California. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2011. This project follows the $104 million contract awarded to the team in August for four additional Bachelor Enlisted Quarters (BEQ) also at Camp Pendleton, California.

The most recent project is for four residences that will house more than 1,500 Marines and will include multi-purpose community areas and laundry facilities.

"We are proud to further our relationship with the United States Marine Corps with this second project award at Camp Pendleton to benefit our country's enlisted Marines," said Jamie Awford, Vice President and General Manager of Turner's San Diego operations.
