Green Builder® Media announced that it has expanded the reach of its online educational platform, Green Builder® College, through a partnership with ProTrain LLC. Green Builder College’s online courses will be included in the curriculum of 135 colleges across the country, including University of Arizona, University of Georgia, Rutgers State University, University of Washington, and Texas A&M University.
“The landscape for workforce education is changing,” says Sara Gutterman, CEO of Green Builder Media. “Students are increasingly looking for online training. Green Builder College offers the highest-quality online content focused on residential sustainable development—the most relevant topic in the building industry today.”
Green Builder College’s comprehensive curriculum covers topics such as land, energy, water, materials, indoor environment quality, green design, operations/maintenance, and environmental impact. All courses are taught online by acclaimed building professionals.
The College’s Level I track consists of 40 hours of premium building science content; Level II contains 20 hours of coursework based on Environmental Building Alliance’s (EEBA) Houses that Work program; the Environments for Living track contains 20 hours of coursework based on Masco’s corporate building science program; and the Continuing Education Courses address a variety of green building and design topics.
Green Builder College offers students an interactive experience with videos, study guides, and quizzes. Through the College, building professionals can become Green Builder Certified, allowing them to increase their credibility and validation in the marketplace.
