America's Building Trades Unions have launched a major new paid media campaign to urge the U.S. Congress to enact a clean energy plan that will make America a global leader in energy, while also developing the domestic energy technologies that will create American jobs and strengthen our economy for years to come.
A television spot, called "It's Time," is slated to air in the districts of key Representatives who sit on the House Energy and Commerce Committee. They include: Baron Hill (D-IN), Mike Ross (D-AR), Mary Bono-Mack (R-CA), and G.K. Butterfield (R-NC).
Radio spots will run in the districts of Representatives Bono-Mack, Butterfield, Mike Doyle (D-PA), and Charles Gonzalez (D-TX).
Newspaper Ads are slated to run in the districts of Representatives Hill, Butterfield, and Bart Stupak (D-MI).

After many years of delay, Congress is moving towards the enactment of a comprehensive energy plan that would boost the production of alternative energy; increase the efficiency of our buildings and homes; and stimulate trillions of dollars of private investment in new technologies and new industries.
"Our message is simple," said Mark H. Ayers, President of the Building and Construction Trades Department, AFL-CIO, "Doing nothing is not an option. We are encouraged by the direction we see the Congress moving, and will work closely with both the House and the Senate to ensure that our nation's clean energy future is one that is built with American components and American workers."
