The Zero House from Scott Specht of Spect Harpman Architects is a totally self sufficient house designed to be completely ecologically sustainable.

Ecologically sustainable Zero House

The cantilever house design incorporates a solar cell array in the roof and battery storage for a weeks worth of electricity requirements, gravity fed water from rain tanks and a composting sewage system. Power demands are minimised with LED lighting and appropriate appliances.
