Wasauna is proud to announce the 2007 Safe Hands Bath™ Walk-in Bathtub. This walk-in bathtub with a door allows the elderly and disabled to easily and safely get in and out of the tub. "These tubs solve a frustrating challenge for the elderly and disabled," says Wasauna president David Petersen. "By giving them the freedom to bathe on their own schedule without assistance, we're really helping them to feel a renewed sense of dignity."
According to the National Institute of Aging six out of every 10 falls happen at home. The innovative walk-in design of the Safe Hands Bath™ enables senior citizens to bathe without having to climb over any high tub walls.
Wasauna's walk-in tub features an outward swinging door, which reduces the amount of maneuvering needed to open and close the door. The interior of the whirlpool tub includes a textured non-slip floor for more stability when standing.
"We wanted to merge safety and comfort together," Petersen says. "From small details like the molded arm rests to the ability to customized your bathtub color, we took every opportunity to set higher standards in manufacturing with the customer's needs in mind."
The Safe Hands tub includes adjustable hydrotherapy water jets that stimulate blood circulation and relieve aching muscles and joints.
