Transitional Assistance & Design , the Gaithersburg based senior move management company, today announced plans for a long term partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County. Effective immediately, the organization will begin donating goods and services to benefit the residents and staff of Habitat for Humanity, also based in Gaithersburg.
Transitional Assistance & Design has already begun providing product donations to Habitat for Humanity's non-profit retail outlet, the Habitat ReStore. Proceeds from the sale of products such as furniture and housewares will be used to help Habitat for Humanity continue to build affordable homes for families in Montgomery County. Town & Country Movers, one of the companies that regularly works with Transitional Assistance & Design, will drop off the donated goods directly from the client's home to the ReStore at no additional charge, when hired by a client.
The senior move management company will also offer a series of seminars at Habitat's newest community in Burtonsville, MD on issues related to the moving process, and will act as regular contributors to the Habitat newsletter.
"In creating Transitional Assistance & Design, our goal was to develop a company that provided services for those truly in need, while at the same time creating a culture of giving back," states Susie and Joel Danick, co-owners of Transitional Assistance & Design. "We work closely with many communities and organizations and feel strongly about our commitment to each. We will always seek ways to integrate this mission into our daily work."
John Paukstis, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, states that he is, "very excited and gracious that Transitional Assistance & Design has decided to team up with Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County. The mission of Habitat for Humanity is to provide affordable housing ownership for low income families in Montgomery County." Paukstis adds, "We are excited to partner with an organization that also seeks to help families in aspects of home transitioning."
