Safe Building Solutions is now distributing AFM Safecoat eco-friendly and healthy paints and finishes to major portions of the U.S.
"This expansion builds upon our 15-year relationship with AFM Safecoat, the nation's premier manufacturer of premium grade paints, finishes and related products that meet the needs of chemically sensitive people and people who are concerned about the environment," said Andy Pace, principal of Safe Building Solutions.
Along with its wholesale distribution, Safe Building Solutions maintains a retail operation selling eco-friendly and healthful home improvement and building products to consumers and builders in southeastern Wisconsin.
Through the new contracted warehouse relationship, Safe Building Solutions will distribute AFM Safecoat products in an area from the East Coast to the Rocky Mountains. Previously, Safe Building Solutions primarily distributed to smaller dealers in the Midwest.
In addition to serving as a distributor, Safe Building Solutions will represent AFM in setting up new dealerships, assisting architectural and design firms, and providing technical assistance to dealers and others. The company also will coordinate its marketing with that of AFM, and will represent AFM at trade shows and via other appearances.
AFM Safecoat products are currently sold in more than 100 stores nationwide, with most of those stores concentrating on "green" building products or products that appeal to people with chemical sensitivities or people who are otherwise concerned with the chemical composition of standard home improvement and building products.
AFM, based in San Diego, Calif., has been manufacturing its Safecoat line of products for the past 30 years. Its products are formulated without toxins and other health hazards found in traditional paints and finishes.
AFM just launched its Ayurveda Essence paint color system. "This will prove to be the most innovative paint color selection tool in existence," Pace said. "Using ancient East Indian practices, Ayurveda, which translates to 'the science of life,' brings the benefits of an ancient healing system into the home environment with meaningful color choices."
Safe Building Solutions offers a wide variety of high quality healthful and "green" sustainable home improvement products, and design and installation consultation services. Along with paints and finishes, Safe Building Solutions sells environmentally friendly wood, cork and bamboo flooring, carpeting, decorative bamboo and sunflower panels, kitchen cabinets, paint and urethane strippers, and caulk.
