National Regeneration Agency, English Partnerships, is sponsoring the Regeneration Exchange as the focal point of its presence at the Chartered Institute of Housing Annual Conference in Harrogate next week, 19 -21 June 2007.
Located on the Regeneration Plaza in Hall D, the Regeneration Exchange is a ‘mini-theatre’ designed to allow interaction between speakers and delegates. A rolling programme of speeches, informal teach-ins and advice and information covering sustainable development, design and the environment will be led by three keynote addresses by English Partnerships:
Tuesday 19 June, 2pm - 3pm:
Beverley Spear, Projects Director for English Partnerships’ National Consultancy Unit will be joined by Kelvin Hinton, Senior Planning Manager for English Partnerships’ Advisory Team for Large Applications (ATLAS) and Graham Geddes, Planning Manager at the Housing Corporation for the session Affordable Housing Delivery via Planning Obligations – Improving certainty for Large Scale Developments.
Both Beverley and Kelvin will be available at the Regeneration Exchange for Media Interviews between 3.00pm and 3.30pm
Wednesday 20 June, 11am - 11.30am
Dinah Roake, a Managing Consultant in English Partnerships’ National Consultancy Unit will lead a session on Local Development Frameworks – How to assist LDFs to achieve balanced and sustainable communities. Dinah will be available at the Regeneration Exchange for Media Interviews between 10.30 am – 11.00am.
Thursday 21 June, 11am - 11.30am
Stephen Oakes, Area Director for English Partnerships’ Thames Gateway region and Project Director for the London Wide Initiative, will deliver a speech focusing on The London-Wide Initiative, and how to get the best sustainable development our of difficult urban in-fill sites. Stephen will be available at the Regeneration Exchange for Media Interviews between 11.45 am – 12.15 pm.
As well as the sessions above, Jayne Lomas, Senior Regeneration Manager at English Partnerships will address delegates on Sustaining the Code? at a PRP Architects organised seminar in the Reading Room, the Majestic Hotel, on Wednesday 20 June, 10 - 12pm.
