Land Registry is pleased to announce that it will again be demonstrating Land Register Online, its hugely popular internet service for the general public, at this year's BBC Good Homes Show from 13 - 17 June at the Birmingham NEC.
Situated at Stand H980, visitors will be able to use Land Register Online free of charge during the five-day show. Land Registry staff will be on hand to offer guidance and answer visitors' questions.
Ted Beardsall, Land Registry Deputy Chief Executive and Director for Business Development, will be appearing on the 'How do I?' stage on Thursday 14 and Friday 15 June. His presentation will include details on Chain Matrix, one of Land Registry's new electronic services which will make e-conveyancing easier for everyone. Ted Beardsall said:
"I am delighted to be appearing at the BBC Good Homes Show 2007 and welcome the opportunity to share information on Land Registry's wide range of exciting services. "Since its launch in 2005, Land Register Online has improved the transparency of buying and selling property and land in England and Wales. Similarly, with the planned introduction of e-conveyancing and Chain Matrix, Land Registry continues to aim to make property transactions easier for all." Land Register Online provides easy access to details of more than 20 million properties in England and Wales and is a valuable aid to those looking to buy or sell a property.
Land Registry's extensive records include the title register (showing legal ownership, rights or interests and mortgages held) and a title plan (showing the extent of land owned) for each property. Price paid information is available on most properties registered after 2000.
