Leopardo Construction Awarded General Contract for the Interior Construction of GATX Headquarters

Leopardo Construction, a leading construction services firm, announced that it has been awarded the general contract for the interior construction of a 125,000 square-foot headquarters for GATX Corporation, a leader in lease financing and related services to customers operating rail, marine and industrial equipment.

Headquartered in Chicago since it was founded in 1898, last summer GATX signed a 15-year lease at 222 W. Adams St., a 34-story, 927,000 square-foot office tower. The new space will consist of offices, workstations, conference and training rooms, employee lunchroom, coffee and amenity areas, copy areas and file rooms. The project scope also includes a state-of-the-art data center.

The project team includes Jones Lang LaSalle as owner's representative and project manager, Leopardo Construction as general contractor and The Environments Group as project architect.
