American Standard Announces Quarterly Dividend

American Standard Companies Inc (Piscataway, NJ, USA) has announced its quarterly dividend and the results of proxy voting at its annual meeting.

The company's board of directors declared a quarterly dividend of 18 cents per share of common stock. The dividend will be paid on 20 June 2007, to shareholders of record on 1 June 2007.

At the annual meeting shareholders approved all three company proposals. No director received less than 97 percent of the votes cast. Shareholders also voted to amend the 2002 Omnibus Incentive Plan and extend it by two years, and to ratify Ernst & Young LLP as the company's independent registered public accounting firm for the year 2007.

The company said that more than 172 million shares, representing approximately 86 percent of the shares outstanding, were voted at the meeting or by proxy.
