New Colour Change Tap Launched by Blanco

Changing the colour of the water as it flows – from hot red to cool blue – that’s the new BLANCOOVAL - thanks to its integrated heat-sensitive LED light. It’s a fun tap that lights up the time spent at the sink and in the kitchen itself, and that also offers a visual safety check on the temperature of the water.

How does it work?

The LED lights are completely safe, as they are powered by two turbines which are located in a small (10cm2) box fitted under the sink, so there is no need for an electrical connection or for batteries to be installed. The LED bulbs, positioned in the right angle of the tap head, can be changed if necessary, but are expected to last a minimum of 20,000 hours of use.

As the water warms up, the light changes from blue to red, giving a clear visual indication of the temperature of the water – a great way to reinforce safe use of the tap for families with young children.
