General Finishes, the Wisconsin based manufacturer of award winning water based wood stains and topcoats, announced the recent acquisition of California based Compliant Spray Systems. Compliant will be moved into General's new state-of-the-art, 30,000 square foot plant in East Troy, Wisconsin. The acquisition will allow General Finishes to further penetrate the industrial finishing market with Compliant's Enduro industrial wood finishing products and to better serve the furniture finishing, auto body, and architectural coating industries with 3M AccuSpray HVLP spray gun equipment.
George Adams, president of General Finishes, remarked, "The addition of Compliant's finishes and 3M AccuSpray spray equipment to General's water based technology will allow General Finishes to become a major factor in the water based finishing industry for years to come."
3M's AccuSpray products have recently been awarded "Best Product" by two national woodworking magazines. Finishing Equipment and Supplies, General Finishes' new spray equipment division, offers a wide range of 3M AccuSpray HVLP spray gun equipment including the award-winning 23 K Turbine HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) spray system and 3M's ultra-convenient and efficient Paint Preparation System.
Not only does the Paint Preparation System save time and money with less paint waste, it also reduces the exposure of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and other solvents to the operator and the environment, which increases the HVLP system's overall green benefits.
With the rise in global environmental concerns, General Finishes is rising to the challenge of making the world cleaner and safer by making these products more widely available to their customers.
