21st Century roofing perfect for ancient Roman villa

Bradstone Structural have used their recently introduced reconstructed stone roofing “Crofters” slate on a reproduction of an ancient Roman villa. The villa is being constructed at Butser Roman Ancient Farm near Petersfield as part of Discovery Channel documentary titled 'Rebuilding The Past.'

It is being built from scratch using methods from the time and materials true to the era, but sourcing roofing was a problem until they approached Bradstone. The natural looking slate was perfect for the job, is easy to lay and unlike natural stone, is readily available and at a fraction of the cost.
