There are two types of hardwood flooring that are considered "ideal" for use in a Green Building project: "FSC Certified and Reclaimed." The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international organization that was formed as a certification body for responsible wood products. Reclaimed flooring is milled from wood which is recovered from historical buildings, and is ideal for Green Building because of its recycled application.
