OMG, Inc., a leading manufacturer of fasteners and building products for the commercial and residential construction industry, has unveiled the new OlyBond NightShot temporary tie-in. NightShot is a fast acting, low-rise polyurethane foam designed to form a temporary seal between new roof covers and existing roof systems. Easily dispensed and capable of adhering to a variety of roof surfaces, NightShot enables roofing professionals to temporarily seal an unfinished roof that would otherwise be exposed to the elements.
"Any knowledgeable roofing professional will tell you how many things can go wrong if an unfinished roof is left exposed, even just overnight," says Andy Cleveland, OlyBond Product Manager for OMG. "OlyBond NightShot solves this problem, and is safer, more effective and easier to use than hot asphalt or other temporary solutions."
NightShot is dispensed through a portable applicator and will adhere to TPO, EPDM, PVC, Built-up, and Modified Bitumen roof systems. NightShot is applied as a liquid in a single band on the old roof surface at the intersection of the new roof system, and rises to form a seal between the two sections. Each case contains four 1500ml cartridges, each capable of covering approximately 75-125 linear feet of roof tie-in.
