Renewable Energy in Housing

30% of total UK energy consumption is taken up by housing and is therefore a major contributor to carbon dioxide emissions. By integrating renewable energy sources into new and existing dwellings there is tremendous potential for carbon savings.

It is due to this that the Energy Saving Trust (EST) is running a series of Energy Efficiency Best Practice in Housing seminars across the UK through October and November 2003.

The seminars will look at the key renewable energy options for housing, their costs, benefits, viability and other issues for their successful implementation.

Seminars will be held from 10am to 4pm at the following dates and locations:

  • Wednesday 22nd October, Cardiff
  • Tuesday 4th November, Belfast
  • Tuesday 11th November, Manchester
  • Wednesday 26th November, Watford

Full details are available at the Efficiency Best Practice in Housing website.
