Low Energy LED Light Bulbs to Ease Burden for Householders

The October 2006 launch of YourLightbulbs' low energy LED light bulb (at http://www.yourlightbulbs.co.uk ) promises to ease the burden for householders this winter. Dull, dreary weather means people have their lights turned on day and night, and hefty fuel bills loom ahead. However, the latest product from the Midlands supplier of energy saving devices outperforms halogen bulbs and cuts bills without compromising on brightness.

YourLightBulbs' bulb lasts 25 times as long and uses around 10% of the power of an equivalent halogen bulb, consuming only two watts of power and with a rated life of 50,000 hours, compared to 2,000 hours for a halogen lamp. It also costs far less than other top end LED bulbs, yet with a higher light output.

Ideal for customers who need constant lighting for security or safety purposes, the bulbs are economical enough to leave on for long periods
without racking up huge bills or needing to be changed regularly.

Richard Cockayne, managing director of YourLightBulbs, says: "As energy awareness increases so has the development and popularity of LED lighting. Although it offers customers exceptional life and low power consumption, light output has been notoriously poor. Our latest generation of LED lighting now provides a usable light output approximately equivalent to a 20W GU10 halogen bulb, and is exactly the same size."

He adds: "Every home can now have light bulbs that last for many years and consume just 10% of the electricity."
