AUSTIN NARI, the central Texas chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry will be holding their 2006 Tour of Remodeled Homes on Saturday and Sunday, October 21 and 22. The tour will provide great examples of how architects and remodelers are erasing the boundaries between interior and exterior spaces by raising ceilings, knocking down walls, and creating beautiful outdoor patio living spaces, building upon the character of the existing design or taking it in a totally new direction.
The homes on this year's tour, "Remodeling Inside & Out," are a study in remodeling excellence. Beautiful architectural details and artistry of building trades match the styles of each home in unique and creative ways. The public will be able to meet and speak personally with the architects, designers and builders who produced these projects and see new home products while on the tour.
"The tour provides great examples of how homeowners have remodeled to take advantage of untapped potential in their existing home, from dramatic practical solutions for storage and family entertainment to expertly crafted new looks," said Rick Dowden, Chairperson for the tour and owner of Masterpiece Remodeling & Design. His home is showcased along with fellow association members JNA Construction, Blue Diamond Remodeling, Henley Homes, Don Boozer Construction, Marsh-Vorspan Partners, Inc., CG& S Design-Build and The Faux Co.
The designs present striking textures, materials and color palettes combined with innovative shelving systems, media centers, and entertainment spaces. The builders took them way beyond standard kitchen remodeling and bathroom remodeling projects. Beautiful, airy and expertly crafted, each home is perfect in its concept of maintaining integrity with the newest trends of inside and outside spaces becoming one.
