Inteva Products, LLC, a leading global Tier One automotive supplier of engineered components and systems, is expanding its global manufacturing capabilities with a new 300,000-square-foot operations facility in Guanajuato, Silao, Mexico.
To kick off construction, the company hosted a groundbreaking ceremony on June 22, 2016 on the site of the future building.
The new facility is designed to produce interior systems for global automakers with vehicle production near central Mexico. The initial activity at the plant will involve manufacturing instrument panels and door panels for General Motors’ North American truck program. Inteva has begun hiring and will start component production in 2017.
Since it was founded in 2008, Inteva has continued to grow and has tripled its global footprint with 46 facilities around the world. The company recently celebrated the grand opening of a new manufacturing facility in Rychnov, Czech Republic, in April, and followed that up with a grand opening of a new manufacturing facility in Oradea, Romania, in May.
In Mexico, Inteva Guanajuato Operations joins two manufacturing facilities in Matamoros, an operations facility in Puebla and a Technical Center in Juarez.
