CEMEX Selected as Supplier for Award-Winning Oaks Business Park Project

CEMEX is the supplier of choice for its customer who recently received the Golden Trowel Award for the successful completion of the Oaks Business Park project in Livermore, CA. The Oaks Business Park, comprised of 1.3 million square feet, spread over three buildings with 110-foot-wide bays, is the largest Golden Trowel project winner to date.

“CEMEX was chosen as the supplier for this project for the services offered,” said Shawn Barnes, Operations Manager, Concrete Services. “We wanted a company with the resources necessary to supply such a large project.”

The project was challenging in scope, with unpredictable weather and high winds.

“The product performed exceptionally well and we had no issues with the mix,” said Barnes.

“CEMEX is honored to be a part of this exceptional project and is proud to support our customer for this award-winning effort,” said Eric Wittmann, President, CEMEX West Region. “This project is testament to our team’s dedication to safety, quality and customer-focused service.”

Presented by the Face Companies of Norfolk, Virginia, Golden Trowels are given annually in recognition of the flattest and most level floor slabs produced in the world.
