Builders, architects and interior designers will meet in Cancun May 17-19, 2006 at the fifth annual Expo Deconarq to explore business opportunities in one of the world's richest tourism development and construction markets.
The state of Quintana Roo -- home to Cancun, the Riviera Maya and other immensely popular vacation destinations -- continues to enjoy dynamic growth. Expansion in tourism investment, housing and commerce will continue during the next nine years, according to current figures and statistics. Federal, state and local governments received world-wide acclaim for their rapid and effective response to Hurricane Wilma. Reconstruction funds continue to pour into the area, along with investments for vast new projects.
During the first half of 2005 alone, according to "Summary of economic potential in Quintana Roo by sectors," a comprehensive study published today on the Deconarq site (http://www.deconarq.com/english), tourism investment reached $1.83 billion USD, 10.1 percent greater than the same period for the previous year. Economic activity in the state was greater than 2004 and is expected to breaka new records, as its beach destinations have captured almost three-quarters (71.9%) of Mexico's private investment.
Cancun and the Riviera Maya are Mexico's fastest growing cities, with annual population increase rates of 13 percent and 19 percent respectively, compared with hardly three percent nationally. Cancun is the clearest demonstration of the dizzying population growth that is driving a phenomenal demand for housing and services.
Expo Deconarq is the prime event for products and services to establish their brands in Cancun, the Riviera Maya and the extensive zone of influence in Central America and the Caribbean. In the fifth Expo Deconarq visitors will find all the elements they need to satisfy any kind of public or private project in every aspect, from planning and design to final touches and decoration.
