Construction on Kansas' latest transitional care development is now underway. Mainstreet® broke ground today on The Healthcare Resort of Topeka.
The property, located at 6202 SW 6th Ave. in Topeka, will boast 94 beds, 69,935 square feet and will provide transitional care (short-stay rehabilitation and therapy) and assisted living in a service-rich environment.
The project, which represents a total community investment of $16 million, is expected to bring 225 construction jobs and approximately 90 permanent jobs at the property itself. Construction should be complete by spring 2016.

As a transitional care center, The Healthcare Resort of Topeka will offer hospitality-oriented care with amenities such as a therapy gym, an outdoor rehabilitation courtyard, movie theatre, game room, a spa, an on-site chef and more.
