DPR Construction (DPR), one of the nation’s leading technical builders focused on highly complex and sustainable projects, today breaks ground on the Gloria Drummond Physical Rehabilitation Institute for Boca Raton Regional Hospital.
DPR is collaborating closely with architect HKS on the multi-phased project consisting of more than 33,000 square feet, which will renovate existing therapy spaces, upgrade exterior features and expand the facility’s current offerings to include a new aquatic therapy center housing an accessible in-ground pool with special adaptive exercise features.
“We’re thrilled to break ground and continue our relationship with Boca Raton Regional Hospital, building a foundation for quality care,” said Deborah Beetson, regional manager of DPR’s West Palm Beach office. “DPR specializes in building high-performance healthcare facilities using advanced construction technology, which will provide the Gloria Drummond Physical Rehabilitation Institute with innovative modalities such as robotic-assisted neurological rehabilitation.”
Coupled with Florida’s growing healthcare infrastructure needs, DPR has several projects currently under construction in the state including outpatient facilities, medical office buildings, medical research facilities and specialty hospitals. In partnership with Boca Raton Regional Hospital and HKS, DPR is also building the Christine E. Lynn Women’s Health & Wellness Institute– a 45,000 square foot comprehensive diagnostic and treatment facility scheduled for completion this summer.
