EECU Breaks Ground on the Heritage Trace Branch in Greater Fort Worth Area

EECU broke ground Thursday on its 14th location in the Greater Fort Worth area—the Heritage Trace branch. Credit union leaders and staff gathered to celebrate the beginning of construction with Alliance Town Center businesses and to announce new banking processes designed to help EECU members better manage accounts.

Plans for the 2,800-square-foot building, smaller than other EECU branches, will leverage new technologies to make the most of its space. The facility will include video conferencing stations for members to chat with specialists as well as a self-service bar where members can complete simple transactions on tablets.

“This branch will be designed to meet the needs of our members’ busy lifestyles,” said EECU President and CEO Lonnie Nicholson. “We’ve become used to the convenience of performing retail transactions electronically and our members will appreciate the same ease of functionality when they do their banking with EECU.”

The Hillwood development in Alliance Town Center is one of several rapidly growing business communities in North Fort Worth. According to Nicholson, the location was a natural choice for the credit union’s expansion due to the number of growing businesses, residential developments and hundreds of existing EECU members who already live in proximity.

The credit union expects to complete construction on the branch in August, and will follow with a grand opening. The branch will feature drive-thru banking, ATM and night depository, as well as a full array of personal and business banking accounts and loans.
