Addition of Pro-Shore Shoring Solidifies Dayton Superior’s Position in North American Construction Solutions

Dayton Superior Corporation solidified its leadership position in North American construction solutions today with the addition of Pro-Shore shoring products to their forming and shoring product portfolio. Dayton Superior will make the Pro-Shore shoring products available for sale in the United States, immediately. Later in 2015, the company will add the shoring system to their rental fleet.

The Pro-Shore shoring product line is comprised of special drop-head post shores, aluminum ledgers (mains) and laminated wood joists (secondaries). The system, engineered for versatility, is primarily used in mid- and high-rise concrete construction.

“This new offering will complement Dayton Superior’s full-line portfolio of Symons® brand forming solutions,” said Jim McRickard, President and CEO of Dayton Superior. “In addition, it further expands Dayton Superior’s ability to be a single-source provider of full solutions packages for the mid- and high-rise construction segment.”

The Pro-Shore shoring system employs Imperial dimensions and with an 6’ x 8’ grid, it utilizes 25% fewer posts than metric systems. The versatility of the system allows it to be used for many common forming needs including drop beams, cantilevers and columns.

“The Pro-Shore shoring product line provides all the ease and advantages of European systems without metric components,” explained Tyler Shaner, Senior Product Manager for the Symons by Dayton Superior brand. “And, with only three components, the system is easily handled, allowing for swift set up and efficient cycling resulting in reduced labor and material costs for the contractor.”

The Pro-Shore Shoring product line will be branded under the name Symons®by Dayton Superior.
